I don’t know about you, but there’s something about Spring that makes us jump at the chance to spend time outdoors. Perhaps it’s having been cooped up inside for months, somehow you almost forget what magic fresh air and movement can do for your mind and soul. Recently, our weekends have been spent closer to home. Instead of driving out somewhere in the car, we’ve chosen to walk to the parks and properly explore our new neighbourhood (usually in search of some caffeine and a slice of cake!)
This slower pace has encouraged the boys to pay more attention to their surroundings. They’re now recognising streets better and can guess where we’re heading when we turn a certain corner. One of their favourite spots is down a cobbled lane, where the grassy banks are currently full of beautiful crocus flowers. It can get a bit muddy in this spot, so heading out in some rain-gear is a must. I’m a bit in love with Parker’s new All In One Waterproof Suit, which we all agree makes him look like a giant strawberry!
This lovely little Puddlepac is part of the new Muddy Puddles SS17 collection and also comes in a lightweight jacket version. It truly brightens up a wet day and works perfectly as a simple lightweight layer to slip on over clothes. For on-the-go days, this clever suit packs into it’s own pocket and has a handy carabiner clip to attach to a bag or buggy, so you can easily take it out with you.
So if you’re feeling a tad run down or the kids have a case of cabin fever, don’t underestimate the power of a simple walk. You can always count on those natural signs of Spring (and maybe a to-go coffee for Mum and Dad) to recharge and refresh the whole family!
We were kindly sent a puddlepac for Parker to try out, however all opinions are our own. We’re huge fans of Muddy Puddles and recommend their fantastic outerwear to all our friends and family.
