After 15 years spent designing and developing accessories for the likes of Paul Smith, Alice Temperley and Mary Katrantzou I am thrilled to be launching Honey & Toast. A range of leather accessories designed to meet the high expectations of both children and parents! – Emma White (Founder)
It’s true everyone, the perfect satchel for little ones has arrived! Honey & Toast is a relatively new brand born from a love of print and accessories. Each piece in the Honey & Toast collection has been designed and carefully developed to be of the highest, enduring quality, in order to grow with your child, celebrating the tale of their daily life and adventures. We’ve been lucky enough to try out their brand new Monochrome & Nude Rocket Scooter Satchel, which also doubles as a toddler sized backpack thanks to its adjustable straps.
Naturally, Finlay wanted to put it to the test straightaway and despite my initial precious feelings, it’s since come out with us on trips to the museum, on the tram, scooter runs down the beach and even nursery! The rocket satchel is made from 100% leather and is great for keeping small treasures in, Finlay currently loves to fill it with his prized toy trains. It attaches safely onto scooters with poppers (see here) and then the longer straps can be used for the backpack option. This bag is already very special to F and I can see it becoming one of those keepsakes that you simply have to hold onto. I won’t lie, I might have had accessory envy so I ended up picking up a leopard print keyring for myself too!
Founder, Emma has explained her inspiration behind Honey & Toast, “Our print designs are inspired by our most favourite adventures such as the monsters and rockets in our Space print. Our Garden print tells the story of happy times pottering about in the back yard. All of our bags are made in Somerset in a small family run factory. Each piece begins life by being hand cut, then stitched, hand stamped with our logo, rivets applied and then beautifully packaged into a Honey & Toast dustbag. All of the bag styles are available in printed leathers as well as bold solid colour blocked combinations. The printed leather comes from the Midlands, and the solid colours are sourced from Holland. We are trying hard to keep our footprint as small as possible.”
