It’s a fact that kids love Christmas jumpers, with their cheerful colours and fun festive themes. But given a choice, they’ll invariably go for clothes with their favourite characters on, whereas parents often want something a bit more stylish for them. And to make things harder, boys can be tricky to buy for as there’s not so much choice out there.
We don’t want to be party-poopers, especially at this time of year, but thankfully we’ve discovered there’s a fine selection of Christmas jumpers in the Tu clothing boys’ jumpers range. Their playful yet cool Christmas jumpers combine modern, geometric patterns with good old-fashioned festive themes and are sure to keep both kids and grown-ups happy. There’s a good choice of fairisle and graphic numbers for older boys, plus cute and colourful ones for youngsters.
Festive designs for boys young and old
Older kids who are beginning to get their own sense of style will love this Christmas jumper from Tu, featuring a mountain skiing design in shades of grey. It reminds us a bit of retro arcade design and is more grown-up option while still being fun. Dads will no doubt be wishing it came in their size!
At the other end of the spectrum is this marl blue reindeer knit. It’s super-cute for younger boys, from baby through to pre-school. It has a reindeer design front and back with a 3D scarf, plus there’s wool in it for added warmth.
Bold versus subtle
Looking like a regular geometric pattern from a distance, get closer and you’ll see that the triangles on this bright blue jumper are in fact made up of our good old friends, Santa, Rudolph and Frosty. Hitting the geometric trend head on, it’s sure to appeal to boys’ playful nature and is bright without being gaudy.
If you’re after a more toned down Christmas jumper for your little man, how about this cream stag sweatshirt with a barely-there print on the front? It’ll look great on a hip young thing paired with some skinny jeans and a cute bobble hat.
Our last two choices are more traditional Christmas jumper designs but with clever twists, sure to please both the buyer and the mini fashionista. Made to look like a comic strip, this snowman-heavy jumper may even inspire your little one to pen their own Christmas cartoon.
Fairisle patterns never fail at this time of year, but some can be chintzy, to say the least. With a grey background and a cool selection of snowflakes, baubles and Christmas trees, this fairisle knit is the one classic that keeps on giving.
Now that the last of the fireworks have fizzled out, Christmas is well and truly on the horizon. Be sure to get in quick and grab your little man one of these cute festive jumpers ahead of the Christmas party season!
