We’re excited to share the launch of SCAMP & DUDE created by the incredible, Jo during her long stay in hospital recovering from brain surgery. Having had a brain haemorrhage earlier in the year, followed by life threatening surgery, Jo began to look at things a little differently. Being away from her two children for so long had a huge impact on her and her boys; she couldn’t stop thinking about how many children around the world were struggling to deal with a parent suffering from a serious illness and the huge effect this has on their lives.
Even though SCAMP & DUDE was inspired by children separated from their loved ones, the brand has been created for all children. Who doesn’t like knowing that a superhero has their back and who doesn’t want their own special superpowers? This inspired Jo to create a brand that provides children with superhero confidence and thus SCAMP & DUDE, and a way for us all to be superheroes was born.
The SCAMP & DUDE clothing line is a collection of childrenswear and womenswear separates, which feature cute, stylish superhero motifs and bold prints. The superheroes include the overwhelmed but incredibly brave dinosaur, the bunny with attitude, the tremendously tough balloon man and the mysterious feline force that is cat girl.
This covetable collection features a range of super so jersey basics in hues of coral and teal. Statement sweatshirts feature a superpower-infused lightning bolt pattern and leopard print. Relaxed raglan sleeved tops feature the balloon man print, while grey marl t-shirts, slouchy Breton tops and super so superpower patterned leggings complete the superhero wardrobe.
T-shirts and sweatshirts have a ‘superhero has my back’ motif written on the collar, reminding the child that their special hero is protecting and watching over them, giving that extra sense of security when required. The collection also includes two super so slouchy sweatshirts for women, available in navy and coral melange jersey with leopard and bolt print. The slogan ‘someone’s superhero’ runs on the collar, as everyone knows that mums, wives and daughters are all superheroes to someone in their lives.
Scamp & Dude work with a famous London children’s hospital to give seriously poorly children in intensive care (whose parents are unable to sleep over with them) a Superhero Sleep Buddy. They also work with the children’s charity, Don’t Forget The Kids, who work with children whose parents have cancer or have sadly passed away. Jo is so pleased to be able to donate their Superhero Sleep Buddies to these two amazing charities to help the children they work with.
