It’s hard to believe Parker’s now 8 months and fast approaching that milestone first birthday! Recently with all the solids he’s been sampling, he’s also been showing many of the classic signs that his teeth are starting to come in. It’s been upsetting to see our little one in so much discomfort and is certainly not a stage I’ve looked forward to re-living!
However, second time round I feel we’re slightly more prepared – Our cupboards are well stocked with Calpol (there’s nothing worse than finding an empty bottle at 3am, so we always have an extra bottle in the house). Then there’s the trusty Ashton & Parson’s Teething Granules, which one of my friends swears by and lastly and by far the most fun, teething jewellery!
Lara & Ollie, is a business set up by two London mamas offering a stylish range of silicone teething jewellery that looks nothing like ‘traditional’ teethers. The hexagonal five beaded necklaces and bangles are available in a range of colour combinations, so you’ll easily find one that suits you. The best part is the beads and bangles are made from food grade silicone that has been independently safety tested in the UK, making them completely safe to chomp on.
My Clara Teething Necklace has quickly become a staple accessory in my wardrobe. As I wear a lot of basics I love how it adds an uplifting pop of colour to outfits. It’s also great for grabbing Parker’s attention, he loves to play with it when he’s feeding or bite on it when his gums are sore. Plus it works perfectly as a distraction for whenever my mummy conversations drag on too long. (A little recommendation: I pop the bangles in the fridge on days Parker’s teething is extra tough on him.)
Thank you Anna & Lesley for making these teething episodes that little bit easier for us! Check out all the products and colour combinations at the Lara & Ollie Etsy Store
