With the days starting to get that little bit warmer we’ve finally been able to ditch our winter coats! Last weekend we decided to make the most of the beautiful sunshine by going out for a family walk along the beach boulevard before stopping at a cafe for lunch. There were even kids paddling in the sea, but the closest we got was throwing in a pebble or two – It’s not that warm yet…
We were kindly sent a few pieces from the new Tootsa MacGinty collection for Finlay to try. After spotting their clothing over at Junior Edition I was excited to get a closer look. Tootsa’s latest collection for Spring/Summer 2016 is called, Moules Frites, inspired by the landscapes and cultures of France, and designer Kate Pietrasik’s childhood holidays in France. Think timeless French style, cafe culture, Tour De France with a twist and infamous French cuisine.
This colourful brand has quickly become a new favourite of mine and the quality and fit of their pieces are just as great as I’d hoped they would be. The Cadeau jacket is the perfect spring outer layer, it’s lightweight but durable with lots of cute details such as the striped hood and the fact it can be packed away into a stow pack. We paired it with the Allo grey sweatshirt, one of my favourite pieces from their collection. It’s not quite shorts weather yet but I love these little denims which will be perfect for the holidays.
Roll on summer!
