To start with, I was surprised by how neat a box the trike arrived in and it took no time at all before Finlay was trying to open it up himself like a little boy at Christmas. Luckily, it was straightforward to assemble and we managed to build it up in under an hour. Both my husband and I were instantly impressed by how sturdy the trike looked and felt – we love the rubberised wheels and the comfy padded seat. You can tell right away that it’s a high quality product that’s been designed to last.

Since then we’ve loved using it, whether at the park or just going for a little walk around our neighbourhood to get some fresh air. The removable steering handle for parents is another handy element – It’s great that you can pop out without a bag and simply store your snacks or any must have items in the large zippered pouch. I also like how the trike comes with a beverage holder! Very convenient. In addition there’s an adjustable and removable sun canopy that can be attached to the seat – but so far we haven’t had any need for it. That’s a British summer for you!

Overall, we’ve been really impressed with this sweet little trike and it’s quickly become one of Finlay’s favourite things. Thanks to the 3 point safety harness I always feel he’s very secure – I’ll sometimes forgo the pram now and instead let him ride in his trike for the walk down to the playground, where he can then have the freedom to play with it himself. The Sports Edition Trike is slightly dearer than some other trikes on the market, but due to the quality and the time frame it lasts for, we think it’s definitely worth the price.

Make sure you check out the Little Tikes website for a full list of features and to view the colour options available.
