With baby no. 2 arriving in a matter of weeks, I’m starting to get everything here at home as organised as possible (nesting is in full swing everyone!) That includes planning and cooking some freezer friendly meals in advance, as I remember from first time round with a newborn Finlay, how much we appreciated having a small supply of dinners all cooked and ready for us. You simply don’t have the energy in those early sleep-deprived days to cook in the evenings, but now that we have a toddler in the mix I’m feeling the pressure to make sure we still eat decent meals.
After spying this blog post on Hello Natural Blog, I’ve been looking into buying a slow cooker! The more I read about them the more I’ve started to question why we haven’t invested in one sooner? They seem so practical and handy for families! I’m planning on ordering this model from Amazon, as it seems to get hundreds of good reviews and won’t break the bank either. Below are some of the recipes I can’t wait to try!

And because I had no idea you could make these in a slow cooker….
Do you have a slow cooker? What are your favourite recipes to make for the family? I’d love to hear. Photo via gatheredtable.com
