Spring Glow Makeup

How To Get A Spring Glow | CK

After the cold winter months, skin can be left feeling a little dull and lacklustre. Here are a few steps I like to take and products that are great to use to give skin back a radiant glow ready for spring and the warmer months:

Prep: Using a renewing mask like Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask once a week is a great way to prep your skin as it improves the skin tone and renews the complexion. It uses natural fruit acids and leaves skin looking bright, smooth and clear and is free from parabens, silicones and petrolatum.

Prime: Adding a brightening primer under your foundation can help to give you that beautiful lit from within glow. I love to use L’Oreal Lumi Magique Primer as it blends seamlessly onto the skin and leaves a pearlescent finish which makes the perfect base for foundation.

Base: Mixing a small amount of Benefit High Beam into your foundation can also give you a similar effect to a radiant primer. It gives the skin a luminescent glow and keeps the foundation looking fresh and dewy. Dabbing a small amount of this creamy, illuminating highlighter onto your cheekbones, cupids bow and brow bone will also bring radiance and light to your make up.

Blush: Using a brightening shade of blusher helps to make your make up look radiant and fresh. Sleek ‘Pixie Pink is a pretty, brightening pink blusher that looks so great for Spring. Topshop Cream Blusher in Flush is another great brightening blusher, it’s a fresh coral pink that blends easily onto the skin as a cream before setting in place as a powder and gives you a healthy glow.

Lips: Like with blusher, brightening lip shades can help to keep your make up looking fresh. Lip crayons are great to pop in your make up bag for quick application on the go. Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil in Fuchsia Desire is a beautiful, wearable warm pink that lasts well on the lips and Revlon Matte Balm in Unapologectic is a matte coral pink which really helps to brighten up the complexion.
