How would you describe your home?
I would describe my home as modern with a bit of a retro twist, white walls and wooden floors make for the backdrop so that I can fill each room with colour and pattern without having to think about coordinating it! The thing I love most about our home is the natural light we get shining through, I always feel happy waking up to it.
Do you have a favourite room and why?
My favourite room is probably the living room, we spend the most time in here so comfort is the most important thing and it’s definitely that. I love our Ikea Soderhamn sofa, we very nearly opted for dark grey but I’m so glad we went for the sky blue! The covers can be zipped off and are machine washable which is great when you’ve got little one’s tearing around the place!
Where do you get your inspiration?
I used to buy a lot of home magazines for my inspiration such as Living etc and Ideal home though as of the last year I use Instagram and pinterest which are just great for inspiration but not so much for the bank balance ha! I love Instagram for the peep we get into peoples stylish homes! Though I have a wish list as long as my arm!
What do you love about living in Greater Manchester?
I love living a short journey away from Manchester city centre and we’ll often visit the Northern quarter for tea shops galore which are a little different, quirky and most importantly child friendly! I also like living close by to some lovely counrty walks.
What’s currently on yours and Noah’s wish list?
My wish list is pretty long! I’ll whittle it down!! For Noah’s room I have my eye on the monochrome desk and chair set from Molly-meg, I’m thinking he’s going to need something of the sort when he starts school in September. For myself I’m in desperate need of a new comfy bed! I’ve seen the coolest metal white one from Ikea that has a colourful harlequin headboard. I’m thinking I’ll get our holiday out of the way then treat myself 🙂
What item in his room does Noah love the most?
Noah loves his cardboard playhouse, it was such a bargain and he’s had so much fun in it! We’ve filled it with fairy lights and books! He’s getting a little big for it now though, I keep noticing it’s getting more of a struggle to get inside, it’s either that or we need a de-clutter on the books!
Are there any words/quotes you live by?
I don’t think there are any particular quotes that I live by, just be happy and be you, the rest will fall into place.
